DC Mayor: Driver's Licenses for Illegals

Mayor of Washington D.C. Vincent Gray wants illegal immigrants to have driver’s licenses. His bill would allow illegal immigrants to get licenses or IDs that would not allow them to fly or enter federal buildings, but would allow them to do virtually everything else. The normal ID would allow legal residents to do everything else.

Some immigration advocates say that isn’t enough, and are encouraging Gray to issue a universal license for both illegal immigrants and legal residents

Kenyan court finds 2 Iranians guilty of intending to cause grievousharm in terror plot

I don't think we're deterring the Iranian government from executing international terrorism. Less chance we're deterring them from pursuing nuclear weapons.

NAIROBI, Kenya – A Kenyan court has found two Iranian nationals guilty of planning to attack Western targets in Kenya.

Magistrate Kaire Waweru Kiare said Thursday the prosecution has proved beyond reasonable doubt all counts against the two.

Ahmad Abolfathi Mohammad and Sayed Mansour Mousavi were charged with preparing to commit acts intended to cause grievous harm after they were arrested in June 2012 and led officials to a 15-kilogram (33-pound) stash of the explosive RDX.

Iranian agents are suspected in attacks or thwarted attacks around the globe in recent years, including in Azerbaijan, Thailand and India. Most of the plots had connections to Israeli targets.

Kenyan anti-terror officials said the Iranians are members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force, an elite and secretive unit.

Bolivia Expels USAID


Bolivian President Evo Morales says he is expelling the U.S. Agency for International Development, accusing it of interfering in his country's internal affairs.

Morales said Wednesday during a May Day speech in La Paz that the United States no longer will "manipulate" the Bolivian economy and its politics.

In 2008, he threw out the U.S. ambassador and officials from the Drug Enforcement Agency.
